ONE PREVIOUS OWNER. ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE. ENGINE JUST RECONDITIONED. NEW TYRES. $5000 RECEIPTS. FULL SERVICE HISTORY. BRILLIANT VALUE FOR MONEY.
The first owner bought it new in England and imported it here in 2005, so it has a 2005 compliance plate. He kept it until it blew a head gasket (very common on these cars) and he parked it in his garage. He passed away a few years ago and it was left in his garage until his son finally decided it was time to move it on.
A small fortune has been spent on getting this lovely car back to 100% All work done on this car was performed by a qualified mechanic and all the receipts and photos are available.
Work includes reconditioned cylinder head, new cylinder liners and piston rings, new timing belt, belt tensioner, water pump, head studs (these are “use once only” studs), full gasket sets and so on. Plus about 20 hours skilled labor (not cheap!).
While the engine was apart the crankshaft, big end bearings and pistons were checked and found to be within manufacturer’s tolerances so were retained. The clutch was inspected and the friction plate was almost perfect so that too was retained.
In addition to the engine work, the hydrogas suspension was re-pressurized (using a pump specially imported from the UK, which comes with the car).
A complete set of new tyres, a new battery, new brake pads, new rear wheel bearings and new platinum spark plugs were installed.
The car has now only traveled about 300km so it still needs to be completely run in.
Cosmetically it is excellent. The body and paint are very good, with no signs of any accidents or repair. The whole interior is pretty much immaculate for its age. The seats, carpets, dashboard etc are all excellent. The soft top is in very good condition and it comes with the original soft top boot. All the tools and all the manuals and service records are present and correct.
It has a Queensland Roadworthy Certificate and is currently unregistered, so it will need to be registered by the new owner. Being a UK import the speedo reads in mph/kph.
A lot of money has been spent to make this car spot on and it will make a really great car for the next owner.
